Department Of Research & Development
Title Research Technician – BioAnalytical Research (12 Month Term)
Description Working with Project Leaders in the Bio/Immuno Assay Development Div. (Henlow Bay Lab), the successful candidate will be responsible for performing sample analysis under GLP/GCP regulations and assisting with the optimization and validation of various bioanalytical methods in support of Cangene’s recombinant protein therapeutic and hyperimmune projects.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a BSc. in Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry or related area, or a College Diploma in the life sciences with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Hands-on experience in any or all of the following areas would be considered an asset:

- Immunoassay/bioassay (ELISA, cell proliferation)
- Mammalian Cell culture
- Experience working in a lab under BSL level II or III safety regulations
- Knowledge in cGLP or cGMP

Additional skills relevant for this position include statistical analysis, non-linear regression, lab equipment qualification, and working knowledge of software applications like SoftmaxPro, Word, Excel, and Origin.
