| Title | Research Technician – BioAnalytical Research (12 Month Term) |
| Description | Working with Project Leaders/Scientists in the Bio/Immuno Assay Development Div., the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development, optimization and validation of various bioanalytical methods in support of Cangene’s recombinant protein therapeutic and hyperimmune projects. |
| Accountabilities | Assay development, validation and sample testing with the following methods: - Immunoassay/bioassay development and validation (ELISA, cell proliferation). - SDS-PAGE, IEF and/or 2D-gel analysis. - Mammalian Cell culture. - PCR/RT-qPCR. - Electrochemiluminescence, flow-cytometry. - SPR (surface plasmon resonance- BIAcore). - working in a lab under BSL level II or III safety regulations. - developing and validating methods against current regulatory standards (ICH, Bioanalytical methods). - Documentation following cGMP or cGLP regulatory guidelines. Additional duties relevant for this position may include statistical analyses and non-linear regression, DNA/RNA isolation, purification and analysis procedures, cloning into commercial expression vectors, end-point PCR, cDNA synthesis, stable transfections and tissue culture procedures. |

| Qualifications | The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc or MSc. in Microbiology, Immunology, Genetics, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry or related area plus one year of relevant experience, or a College Diploma in the life sciences with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
