Department Of Information Technology
Title Business/Systems Analyst
Description This position will report to the Supervisor of Information Technology – Application Services.
Accountabilities - Design and drive IT oriented business analysis and users acceptance testing standards and best practices.
- Obtain requirements using various methodology such as document analysis, business process descriptions, use cases, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Evaluate information gathered, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and vice-versa, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with project stakeholders to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
- Deliver Business Requirement Documents, System Requirement Specifications Documents and Impact and Risk Analysis Documents.
- Deliver User Acceptance Test cases and scripts, assists business user in executing and documenting outcome and result of UAT.
- Collaborate with vendors and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
- Successfully engage in multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Work independently with business users to define concepts and requirements.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
- Strong analytical and product management skills required.
Management Accountabilities
Qualifications The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree (business computing or IT related fields), or its equivalent with considerable systems and business analysis experiences. S/he must have a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience as a business or systems analyst, preferably with IT enterprise systems, databases and data reporting.. Knowledge of process improvement and testing methodology and best practices are highly desirable. Must be highly motivated, able to multitask, and effectively work with teams of persons with diverse skill sets. Excellent organizational, time management and communication (written and verbal) skills are required, as is a demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
