| Accountabilities |
- Evaluation of biophysical characteristics of proteins/antibodies.
- Development of novel formulations for proteins/antibodies.
- Evaluation of technologies for alternative delivery of biopharmaceuticals including oral coatings, slow release formulations.
- Development and/or implementation of new methodologies.
- Opportunities for participation in external collaborations and grant proposals.
- Ensuring research is conducted consistent with GMP and best practices to support patent/IP filings.

The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field (Biological sciences, Chemistry, Formulation or related field) and possess extensive knowledge of biomolecular conformational analysis and practical experience with a range of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, UPLC, CE, DSC, CD and mass spectroscopy. Proven ability to plan and execute a critical path of experiments to drive a focused research project is desired. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in planning and execution of the experimental plan as well as coordinate work with other members of the research team and skills for independent research as well as team work and communication are essential for success.
Applicants should also possess strong literature review abilities and aptitude to evaluate ideas based on information gained from a variety of scientific/technical resources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Working knowledge of statistics to support bioanalytical methodology as well as the principles of analytical validation and regulations governing pharmaceutical development is an asset.
