Cangenus® is Cangene's patented production technology for producing recombinant proteins, based on the host organism, Streptomyces. It produces homogeneous, non-glycosylated proteins, and secretes the correctly folded and bioactive products directly into the surrounding medium. Cangenus® simplifies the recovery of recombinant proteins and requires no chemical modifications to obtain a cost-effective, bioactive product for in-house production, and in support of contract research and development.
